Mybusiness1st.co.uk is brought to you by People 1st, the sector skills body for hospitality, passenger transport, travel and tourism. People 1st are an employer-led registered charity, working to transform skills in the sectors they cover. For more information about People 1st visit www.people1st.co.uk

Why create mybusiness1st.co.uk?

97% of all businesses in our sectors are SMEs with under100 employees. Our research shows that most business owners look for advice on the internet. After looking at the resources available on the internet, People1st realised that while there are many sources of information, there was nothing that brought together all the options available and focused on our particular sectors. Small businesses are short of time and money and need something that will bypass all the non-relevant information often dragged up by search engines. There are also very few sites that make the connection between business advice and the online learning revolution. Online learning allows small business owners to develop their knowledge and skills in their own time.

Through mybusiness1st.co.uk we aim to

  • Provide relevant tools, tips and training for SMEs in the People 1st footprint
  • Provide signposts to training and development tools, whether online or in your local area
  • Increase business understanding and skills for SME owners and managers
  • Help our sectors grow and contribute to the UK economy

We will continually be reviewing the site to bring you additional tools and advice, but if there is something you would like information on in particular please contact us at info@mybusiness1st.co.uk
